🎤 Choir 🎤

Please welcome Ms. Sarah Duarte, the new choir teacher for this school year! Sarah Duarte graduated from University of California at Irvine with a Degree in Music, with an emphasis in Opera. She continued there to receive her music teaching credential while teaching music in the K-8 schools. Sarah began her teaching career at Willow Glen Middle and High Schools where she taught Choir and Dance for 17 years. Her groups have performed numerous times in Disneyland, New York and even a couple times on cruise ships. They have earned a bevy of first place awards, Gold ratings and the Espirit de Corps award. While not teaching, Sarah does music directing with Starting Arts, performs around the bay in musical theater, and loves to spend time outside with her family which includes her husband and two teen boys.

We are so excited to share the upcoming school year with new and old friends and families! It will be an incredible year of music, performances, and unique learning opportunities.

There are currently two award winning vocal groups at Castillero Middle School where students can participate in school concerts, community performances and the spring music festivals: Beginning and Bella Voce. More information will be forthcoming.
