What sparked your interest in playing this instrument?

I like the sound of the clarinet. I am trying to learn trumpet too because I like the sound of that too.

 

What is your favorite musical piece that you've played?

I really like “Cuphead: Featuring Inkwell Isle Two, All Bets Are Off, and Porkrind’s Shop.” My other favorite is “Rejouissance.”

 

What type of music do you most like to play and why?

Ooh! I like the type of Jazz used in the Cuphead songs. I’m not sure what type of Jazz that is, but it’s my favorite!

 

What is giving/gave you the most trouble while learning, and what advice would you give to others having similar difficulties?

Fingering placement was probably my biggest struggle. My advice for someone else struggling with that would be to try to find the main center of where the holes are. Make sure your fingers aren’t too close to the sides of the holes, or else it could squeak or sound muffled.

 

Any words of wisdom or encouragement for your peers?

If you really like something, you should persuade yourself to keep going and not give up. If you try hard, you can succeed at anything you set your mind to.
