Band Uniforms

Not only must band students sound good, they also need to look good! Each student is required to wear a uniform for the appropriate band level at performances. The student may not be allowed to play at concerts if not wearing the appropriate uniform.

General information:

  • Students are perfectly ok to reuse a sibling's uniform!
  • Uniform shirt fittings will occur within the first few weeks after school starts. Measurements will be during your normal class period. See class announcements for when this will be scheduled, or check back with the CMBC calendar for updates.
  • Orders will be placed for black dress shirts, ties and white jacket rentals in the week after fittings.
  • With the exception of beginning band, all students will need to purchase a tie of the appropriate color for their respective band group.
  • We want our bands to look neat and professional! Therefore we ask that they don't wear black leggings, skinny jeans, ankle socks, or athletic shoes which have white rims around the sole or visible colors. See below for more uniform don'ts!

Please contact Mr. Bowman if purchasing any of these items is a financial hardship for your family. Thank you!

Beginning Band Uniform

  • (*) White, short-sleeved, collared polo shirt, like ones worn as part of Castillero school uniform
  • Black dress pants
  • Black belt
  • Long, black socks

(*) Mr. Bowman often takes a poll of beginning band students to see if they would prefer black, short-sleeved, collared polo shirts (also like ones worn as part of Castillero school uniform), so color may change

  • Tie corresponding to respective band
