About the Castillero Music Booster Club

The Castillero Music Booster Club (CMBC) is the umbrella organization of volunteer parents and teachers working together to support our band, orchestra, and choir teachers and their students. The CMBC board and its members help coordinate and organize the numerous concerts and`events that are performed every year. We work closely with our fabulous performing arts teachers to assist in whatever way possible and provide additional resources where necessary. This allows them to focus more on developing the talent of our students, while also helping to instill a life-long appreciation of music, helping to develop their social-emotional and interpersonal skills, and helping to enrich their experiences in middle school.

Besides logistical support, CMBC also helps our performing arts programs financially by running several fundraising events each year. Although the school district provides some financial support, the majority of funds to support the general, yearly program costs is raised directly by the programs themselves in the form of donations from parents/community, corporate matching, and annual fundraising concerts. CMBC's fundraising helps to cover these costs, as well as the additional costs for field trips, clinics, and musical festivals, especially for those students who are in financial need and cannot afford to.
