Indigo, Avant, and Chamber Orchestras

COSTUMES ARE WELCOME!
Students may wear either: Concert attire OR a school-appropriate Halloween costume.
If you choose a costume, please make sure students can still comfortably and safely play their instruments. Nothing that interferes with playing, blocks their vision, or creates a problem for their stand partners!

A NOTE ABOUT THE AUDIENCE
This concert is expected to be oversold, with standing room only, so please think carefully about who you would most like to have attend. The gym will be packed, and seating will be very limited. If you have a large group of family and friends who would like to come, please keep in mind that there may not be seats available for everyone.

I know this can be disappointing when students have grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and friends who all want to see them perform. We simply want families to know ahead of time what to expect so there are no surprises when you arrive.

IMPORTANT FOR CELLOS & BASSES
Please make sure every cello and bass has a rubber tip or rock stop!
The gym floor is not designed for instrument endpins, and we want to make sure we protect the floor while we're there.

CASTILLERO GREEN ROOM
Our Castillero green room will be:
Room 91 — Choir Room - Indigo Only
(next to Ms. Hirsh's Room 92)
The Staff Dining Room behind Room 91/Theater Lobby - Avant/Chamber
Dance Studio - next to the gym - Beginners

When students arrive, they should head directly to their green room. Chaperones will direct students in groups to the gym.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Please remember that students should arrive at least 20 minutes before their scheduled rehearsal time.
When students arrive, they should:
- Find Castillero's assigned green room.
- Unpack their instrument - get tuned by high school helpers
- Bring their instrument and music into the gym with their chaperone
- Find their assigned seat.
- Be ready to rehearse at their scheduled time.

Castillero's rehearsal schedule:
9:00am — Indigo
9:20am — Avant
9:40am — Chamber
10:00am — Beginning
10:15am — All Students — FINALE REHEARSAL
10:40am — Doors Open
11:00am — PERFORMANCE!
